For over 35 years, McRaney Sanford Killebrew (MSK) has been a trusted name in Mississippi’s legal community. Originally established as McRaney & McRaney, Attorneys at Law, the firm was founded by Robert Rex McRaney, Jr., a compassionate attorney dedicated to guiding individuals and families through challenging financial times.

Known as both a “lawyer and friend”, Robert built his reputation on providing thoughtful, empathetic legal advice to clients in severe financial distress.

From Foundation to Growth

As the firm grew, G. Adam Sanford joined as an associate after several years of experience working with a Chapter 13 trustee’s office. Adam brought a fresh perspective to the practice and expanded its services by establishing a thriving real estate loan closing practice, complementing the firm’s bankruptcy focus.

In 2019, Allison W. Killebrew, Robert’s niece, returned to the firm after more than a decade as a state attorney in Mississippi. With her expertise in bankruptcy law and financial coaching, Allison brought additional depth to the team, continuing the legacy of compassion and service started by her uncle.

Defined by Dedication & Care

When Robert McRaney retired in late 2021, Adam and Allison formed McRaney Sanford Killebrew, PLLC, a firm committed to maintaining the same care and dedication that has defined it for decades. Today, MSK serves clients throughout the State of Mississippi from its offices located in Clinton, Brandon, and Greenville.

In 2024, MSK expanded its reach with the addition of the Greenville location, formerly the office of Michael W. Boyd, a respected bankruptcy attorney in the Delta. Mike’s legacy as a dedicated advocate for individuals facing financial hardships left an indelible mark on the community.

New Seasons, Solid Foundations

Similar to Mr. McRaney, Michael W. Boyd was a knowledgeable, compassionate, and experienced attorney for many decades in the Mississippi Delta. Unfortunately, Mr. Boyd passed away in 2024. MSK stepped in to represent a majority of his clients and opened a third location in Michael Boyd’s Greenville office. The staff, Laura, Mikki, and Rita joined the MSK family in 2024 to continue Michael W. Boyd’s work with the same commitment to guiding individuals and families through financial challenges.
